Developer Verification
Developer verification is required to publish paid extensions (one_time or subscription pricing). It establishes your identity for payout purposes and ensures compliance with EU VAT and anti-money-laundering regulations.
When verification is required
| Scenario | Verification required |
|---|---|
| Free extension, private visibility | No |
| Free extension, public visibility | No |
| Paid extension (any visibility) | Yes |
Verification steps
Complete verification in the extension dashboard under Account → Developer Verification.
Step 1: Choose account type

Step 4: Set up payout method

Step 5: Review and submit
Review your information and submit. Verification typically completes within 1–3 business days. You'll receive an email when it's approved or if additional information is needed.
