Developer Verification

Developer verification is required to publish paid extensions (one_time or subscription pricing). It establishes your identity for payout purposes and ensures compliance with EU VAT and anti-money-laundering regulations.

Verification steps

Complete verification in the extension dashboard under Account → Developer Verification.

Step 1: Choose account type

Step 2: Provide identity information

Individual:

  • Legal first and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Country of residence
  • Address

Business:

  • Company legal name
  • Company registration number
  • Country of registration
  • Registered address
  • Representative name and date of birth (the person submitting verification)

Step 3: Tax information

  • EU residents: VAT ID (if registered for VAT) or personal tax ID
  • Non-EU: Country-specific tax ID
  • US persons: W-8BEN (non-US payees) or W-9 (US payees) — submitted via Stripe Connect

Step 4: Set up payout method

Set up at least one payout method:

  • Stripe Connect — connects your Stripe account for automatic payouts. Stripe's own identity verification (selfie + ID document) runs separately.
  • PayPal — enter your PayPal email address. Payouts are batched monthly.
  • SEPA — enter your IBAN and BIC. Payouts are batched monthly.

Step 5: Review and submit

Review your information and submit. Verification typically completes within 1–3 business days. You'll receive an email when it's approved or if additional information is needed.

Maintaining verification

Once approved, verification is ongoing. Lumio may request updated information annually or if:

  • You change your payout method
  • Regulatory requirements change
  • Unusual transaction patterns are detected
